Los Angeles bassist, Timothy Fenton, started gigging at the age of 16and has since performed at local venues such as The Mint, The Viper Room, Tabula Rasa Bar, Carson Sound Stage as well as a monthly residency at The Rhythm Room in Downtown LA. With The Thornton Jazz Orchestra under the leadership of big band legend Bob Mintzer, Fenton recorded at Capitol Studios. While still at Oberlin, he was selected to go on a tour to Jordan partnering with their embassy. With a jazz quintet, they played at different venues all throughout Amman, Jordan and gave masterclasses at many different schools. He received his Bachelors of Music from Oberlin Conservatory in 2017 and is currently pursuing a Masters of Music from the University of Southern California. His teachers include Darek Oles, Alphonso Johnson, Gerald Cannon, Carol Kaye, Robin Eubanks, Gary Bartz Tracy Rowell, Bobby Shew, and Mark Tatum. He has performed behind Peter Erskine, Geoffrey Keezer, Dominick Farinacci, Sara Gazarek, Kathleen Grace, Anat Cohen, Jamey Haddad, and Eddie Henderson.
